Aging 101 is a 14-hour foundation in the biological, social, and psychological aspects of aging as well as the services, programs, and funding in aging across the care continuum. This is the only program of its’ type and content available in the area.
The course was originally developed by the Center on Age & Community at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Aging Consortium with additional support from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation.

Upon completion of the program participants will:
-
Gain an overall education on the aging throughout the continuum of life
-
Be able to apply skills, attitudes, and knowledge gained through case-based knowledge immediately to clients
-
Understand and identify types of services and funding available to older adults in the Greater Milwaukee area
-
Develop knowledge and attitudes leading to cultural competency, and
-
Use services in the community to assist their older Clients/patients.
